If there’s one thing I learnt from this, it’s that you can never go wrong with an existing pizza base, and existing sauce and some mozzarella cheese. The only way things can go sideways is if you really burn it and it becomes really hard to eat. So if you want a super simple easy dinner, this is it–or you can just get the frozen pizzas. Unlike normal people, we decided to cut the super long pizza crust in squares so it would fit in our tiny pan. It took a really long time. However, we followed the entire process and topped it with what he had at home; onions and bell peppers. It wasn’t all too bad. I was lucky enough to have some sausages for the topping too. As boring as it may sound, the trader joe’s pizza crust really outdid itself. If you haven’t tried it, try it now.
Memory highlights:
The funny part about this is, we bought the pasta sauce to make pasta. Even after mixing the sauce for an entire packet, there was so much leftover. That was when we decided that pizza is a good alternate because how much pasta can you really eat. Unfortunately, that also had only green bell peppers and onions. I promise, we’ve had a lot more in our fridge at one point. We slathered on too much pizza sauce for the first couple batches and we ended up running short of it. We also ran out of half of our mid sized cheese block. You can imagine how much we used for only half the pizza crust. Now we had half that crust left with no sauce. And no, we weren’t going to buy sauce again. There’s a quick fix that my mom has taught me to spice up some leftover bread (literally). All it needs is some mustard seeds, onions, tomatoes and sambar powder and of course bread. So I did that with the leftover crust, and it tasted better than making it with normal bread. I’m telling you, this pizza crust is godly. My roommate was a fan and I’ve made it like 5 times in the last 4-5 months.
